Hi, I'm Eloise.
Eloise is a Counselling and Clinical Psychologist and the founder of
Awakenings Psychology.
Eloise is passionate about embracing and nurturing her clients'
humanness. With warmth and curiosity, along with 10 years of experience, she provides
deep witnessing and understanding of the scope of human struggle. She responds to
this with anchoring and compassionate support, rather than pathologising.
Her approach is holistic and relational. Eloise works with people who are wanting to
realise their authentic self, to show up for themselves in a more resourced way, to
shape their future with agency rather than be dictated by the past, and to embrace a
more spacious, creative, and enjoyable way of living.
Eloise journeys longer-term with clients and can help with:
- High Sensitivity (HSP - cultivating a life which embraces the unique strengths and challenges
that come with the trait of high sensitivity)
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Neurodivergence
- Grief and loss
- Stress and burnout
- Abuse
- Life adjustment/transitions
- Interpersonal and relationship issues
- Attachment trauma/issues
- Trauma (informed by Internal Family Systems therapy and by Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing - see FAQs
for further information)
- Identity and self-exploration (self-criticism, self-compassion, self-esteem, self-affirmation)
- Existential concerns (inevitable death and how to find meaning in life)
When not working, Eloise loves seeing live music, practising yoga, discovering new books or getting competitive at pub trivia.
Eloise holds her Masters in Applied Psychology (Counselling) from the University of Queensland and registration as a
Counselling and Clinical Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. She is also a Board Approved Supervisor.
Awakenings Psychology is an LGBTQIA+ friendly practice.
